The को Definite Article कहते हैं। इसका प्रयोग उस Noun के पहले होता है जो खास, निश्चित या पूर्वपरिचित हो; जिसकी चर्चा पहले हो चुकी हो तथा वक्ता और श्रोता जिससे भली- भांति परिचित हों।  Example- He is a boy.  तो यहां 'boy' से ' किसी लड़के ' का बोध होता है। But, he is the boy.  तो यहां 'boy' से ' किसी खास लड़के ' का बोध होता है। जिससे वक्ता और श्रोता पहले से परिचित हो। अर्थात् निश्चित पदार्थ/व्यक्ति/जानवर का बोध कराने के लिए 'the' का प्रयोग होता है। The का प्रयोग countable noun (singular & plural) और uncountable noun के साथ होता है, बशर्ते कि उक्त noun से निश्चित nouns का बोध होता हो। 1. The का प्रयोग पूरी जाति का बोध कराने के लिए singular countable noun के पहले होता है। पूरी जाति का बोध कराने के लिए general/universal sense में plural noun के पहले the का प्रयोग नहीं होता है। The cow gives milk. 2. PAST TENSE a. SIMPLE PAST TENSE or PAST INDEFINITE TENSE In this tense there is simple way to identify the things... In EngLish sentence has used EITHER USED "2nd Form of verb V2" for Affirmative sentence or "DID" and "V1" for rest of all. Simple PAST tense को पहचानने का आसान तरीका ये है कि वाक्य के अंत में - था, थी, थे, या, यी, ये, इत्यादि रहेगा। राम खाना खाया। Ram ate food. सीता गीत गाती थी। Sita sang a song.  Simple PAST tense में चार प्रकार का वाक्य आ सकता है। १.Affirmative sentence २.Negative sentence ३.Interrogative sentence and  ४.Interrogative and negative sentence १. Affirmative sentence. Structure- subject+v2+object सभी subject ke साथ v2 का प्रयोग होता है। Example- वह स्कूल जाता है। He went to school. २. Negative sentence Structure- subject+did+not+v1+object सभी subject  के साथ "did+not" का प्रयोग होता है और साथ ही "1st form of verb V1" Example-  वह स्कूल नहीं जाता था। He did not go to school. ३.
